i havnt gotten hunters yet in the game because ive only had my base command unit for a couple days and no hunters have showed up for me.

30 MINUTES

30 MINUTES OF PLAYING!


in 30 minutes of  playing i can honestly (and proudly) say i basically got nothing. i got so unlucky! i found exactly 5 boxes in total and only like 2 of them had nails in them.

i found many fibre bushes, and lots of wood but just not enough nails to be successful. i ended up finding enough nails and placing down my wood foundation.

i started to get more supplies to make walls but failed misrably by dying by a wolf shortly after. heres what my inventory looked like before i died.

how to play game

so to start off how to play the game subsistance is first you have to survive...
but thats not in detail. so first what i would do to start is collect wood,

as much wood as you can before night fall. because once night comes if you arent set up your basically hooped just because all the animals and the environment will start to come for you. so you need wood. as your getting wood from trees you will find boxes scattered around the map. from medical boxes

, ammo boxes, and "building boxes".

and each box contains different things. so once youve found say nails, wood planks, cordages, fibre, and all the other necesarry things, you can start to make a base. first wood foundation

(i recommend wood foundation stairs first so then the bairs wont destroy your base) then walls, the a base command unit. the base command unit is absolutly necessary for survival just because it opens all the other things to the game. like beds and all the other stuff. plus! if you have a base command unit there will always be a marker to know where your base is. so lets say you actually get this far (which you wont... well maybe) you need to start finding food and water to stay alive because you wont survive if your dying of hunger. so you need to equip yourself to hunt some food. so you need to make guns (shotguns, rifles, ect.) then you just need to continue collecting items to survive. have fun.

day 5

the way you craft a campfire is you have to collect wood buy chopping trees.

then you need to craft sticks by wood.

then once you have sticks and wood you can craft a campfire. 

but you need matches to light the fire to stay warm in the night.

i crafted a fire but i ended up dying by my base when planting the fire. so now im trying to find my base again.

the way you craft wood foundation stairs is you need wood planks by getting wood planks and nails, fibre cordage then you can craft the wood foundation stairs.
i didnt end up being able to craft a wood foundation stairs yet.

day 5

the way you craft a campfire is you have to collect wood buy chopping trees.

day 3

then i saw a box that was 4 feet outside of the fence. heres the screenshot

then i didnt survive the night without dying before getting a storage crate.

and thats why my first tips and tricks are
-never try and survive the night if your not set up in your base.
-just stay away from any animal untill your setup to be able to kill it.
-stay alive ;)

day 2 subsistance

today was alot more successful i started to make a base. which wasnt that great but its coming along.
i first made a wall, then died, and lost all my stuff. i did that continuosly. i found the tree that gave me 6 pieces of wood

some of the scenery in the game is amazing! i ran into this overhang of rocks that just looked incredible

i started to make a base finally and everything started to work out

i set out to find nails to make the walls and a storage box so i dont keep losing my stuff.
on that journey i found.
-copper ores
-iron ores
-bears
-wolves
-medicanal plant
-blueberrys
-and all of the chests except the one where u need a lockpick to iopen it
i also successfully caught 2 lvl 0 chickens

i died many times before actually figuring out what i need to do to  make a base and sustain it.
im still in the process of making the base right now.
i still have yet to find the fibre plant.

the game can get very frustrating when u lose all your stuff.

what i did wrong was try and attack things that would easily kill me
-wolves
-bears
my opinion on the game so far is its really fun, and im going to enjoy playing this game.

subsistance is a single player sandbox first person survival game. struggle to live in the open world environment. mine resources. farm plants and breed animals.
the game looks pretty fun and im excited to start playing it.
